These memories are collected here so that they are easy to share with family, friends and others who might be interested in what life was like for a foreign family living in Asia at this time. When Lilly Flowers Bloom is the third book from my *Seasons Change* poetry novel trilogy

Anecdotal stories of growing up on a sugar plantation in rural Hawaii. Known as "The Land of Sunshine", Pa'auhau, on the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island, will always be "home".

A simple story of a man who discovered that love could be found again after enduring the pain of a devastating divorce. We learn about the wonderful woman he met who persevered and succeeded in having a career and raising a daughter as a single mom. We discover how they met, courted and fell in love and how they later met and managed the greatest challenge either had ever faced. In the end we learn that love takes on many forms, finds many depths and persists up to the very moment of death and continues on.

WHITE ROSES is the story of my adventures into the Unknown and what I found there. I did my best to simplify this beautiful story to make it easy reading on the Heart and would like to have the book do the talking. From Southern California to Northern California and elsewhere, I really dug deep and found myself in a mad adventure of 6 years which led to Enlightenment and am happy you are about to read this tale. Jack E. Thornton spent his childhood exploring and exploiting the neighborhoods and wild spaces of Walla Walla, Washington. He later attended Washington State University where his love for animals led him to study veterinary medicine. Despite his desire to work with wildlife, independence and freedom drew him to open the Blue Mountain Animal Clinic, a private practice in Sequim, Washington. This punster, poet and provocateur shares short stories centered around animals he encountered throughout his childhood and veterinary practice.
